Hundreds of scholarships were awarded this year by the James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund to the sons and daughters of Teamster members in the United States and Canada.

A vocational/training program winner, Harold, wrote, “Thank you James R. Hoffa Memorial for accepting me for this scholarship. I will use it toward my tuition at school to study diesel engine repair and chassis fabrication. Thank you for choosing me for the award.”

And, a parent of another winner wrote, “I wanted to take a moment out to thank you all for selecting my daughter as a recipient of a scholarship via the James R Hoffa Scholarship Program. I am sure you had many people apply and I am soooo proud that you have selected my daughter to be one of the lucky ones to receive this award!!! I am a proud Teamster and a steward.”

The Fund awarded $1.2 million in scholarships ranging from $10,0000 and $1,000 Academic awards for students planning to attend a four-year college/university and $2,000 to $500 Training/Vocational scholarships for students attending vocational training courses.
